The new MLS season is finally underway yet the top three spots on this list went to Liga MX and the Premier League.

The week of February 19 to February 25 was an exciting seven-day period of soccer, with the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League, and Liga MX all taking place while the MLS made its much-awaited return.

One MLS fixture made the list, with that game being LAFC's 2-1 victory over the Seattle Sounders on Saturday, racking in nearly 300,000 average viewers for Fox. However, this fixture did not make the top three most-watched soccer games in the USA last week.

Once again, Liga MX and the Premier League reigned supreme in that department. Sitting top of the list is Club America's weekend victory over Cruz Azul, with the Eagles keeping up pace with the Clausura leaders. Nearly one million average viewers tuned in to Univision as Julián Quiñones' fourth-minute goal secured the three points for the hosts.

Univision returns to claim the second spot, this time due to their coverage of Guadalajara's 3-1 victory over Pumas UNAM on Saturday. An impressive 842,000 average viewers tuned in to TelevisaUnivision's Spanish-language television network. This match also earned a rating of 0.34, which is only slightly beneath the previous fixture (0.39).

And finally, in third place, we have a Premier League fixture. This honor went to Manchester City's showdown with Bournemouth, which the Cityzens won 1-0. Phil Foden scored the only goal of the game, with this fixture earning NBC an average viewership of 720,000. Interestingly, this fixture earned the highest rating out of all three matches (0.44).
