Three more Round of 16 games will be played in coming hours, with five MLS clubs and one Liga MX side fighting for those three spots in the next round.

Three more teams will be handed tickets to play in the Quarterfinals of the 2023 Leagues Cup today, and the  fixtures scheduled to be played give us reasons to believe it will be an electric set of matches.

As of now, the MLS has established its dominance over Liga MX sides. It is true that there was a majority of clubs from the North American league prior to the start of the tournament, but that has still been kept in subsequent rounds, with now only five Liga MX teams still in competition.

To give you an idea of how things are shaping up, five MLS clubs will decide their future today, while Querétaro will want to keep Liga MX teams in the mix to win the title by trying to knock out one more club from the Major League Soccer.

With everything to play for in these three games, and hoping there are no weather delays as in some games that were held last week, here are the previews for all Monday's fixtures.

Philadelphia Union vs New York RB

It will be a tie worth-watching between these rivals from the Eastern Conference in the MLS. The Union get to this game as favorites due to their performance in the league, where they are third in their conference compared to the Red Bulls' lackluster run, which has seen them win only six matches in the ongoing season. When it comes to meetings between them, Philadelphia own a commanding lead over the Red Bulls with ten straight games without a loss, including seven wins. The Red Bulls have not beaten Philadelphia since September 2019, and they still have one more game left to play against the Union this season. Will that trend continue after tonight's match?

Querétaro vs New England

The only team from Liga MX on this side of the draw will try to keep their dream alive when they face the Revs at Gillette Stadium. The first clash ever between these clubs will be as interesting as those happening in this competition, with Los Gallos making the most out of this experience, but Mauro Gerk's team are yet to beat an MLS club in this competition, which makes this tie against New England even more compelling. As for the Revs, the team is still dealing with Bruce Arena's suspension, but their main issue will be the number of absences they will deal with for this game. New England will face their ninth different Mexican club, and they have beaten all of them at least once. Will they follow the same path against Gallos, or will the blue and black side continue their surprising run in the competition?

Charlotte vs Houston Dynamo

The final match of the day will feature The Crown and the Orange Crush in what will be their second-ever clash against each other. The previous game between these teams took place in 2022, and Charlotte claimed a 2-1 win over the Texan club. Both teams have struggled in the current MLS season, which leaves fans only with their performance in this competition, where Charlotte won their group and went on to defeat Cruz Azul in the previous round. Days later, the Dynamo defeated Pachuca in the same stage after finishing second in their lot, keeping their options to win the title intact. The team that wins this game will go on to face Lionel Messi and Inter Miami next Friday, although they will have to make the trip to Florida for that purpose.
