TSN, TSN.ca, TSN Mobile & TSN Radio 1050 to involve fans in Euro 2012 Final draw coverage

December 1, 2011 By Angela Asante
With TSN, football fans won’t be left out of the coverage for Friday’s UEFA Euro 2012 final draw.
TSN, TSN.ca and TSN Mobile TV will broadcast the UEFA Euro 2012 final draw starting from 11:55am EST.

A repeat version will take place at 8:30pm EST on TSN. Online viewers will be able to follow the coverage of the event in Kyiv through TSN Radio 1050.

TSN.ca will welcome football fans’ opinion with a live blog. Luke Wileman and Jason deVos, along with Noel Butler, will get busy right after the draw.

The trio will offer followers extensive analysis through a show that will kick off at 1:00pm EST and last half an hour on TSN as tweets will be read on air.

TSN.ca will take charge of running the rest of the show from 1:30pm EST. TSN’s Facebook page and Twitter account will welcome members to share their opinions about the UEFA Euro 2012 final draw.

As part of TSN’s plan to involve the public in the coverage, the TSN panel would read and answer the fans’ submitted comments and questions.

Fourteen teams qualified to the tournament to join co-hosts Poland and Ukraine. Ten secured automatic tickets. They were Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Italy, England, Russia, Greece, Denmark and France.

As group runners-up, Croatia, Portugal, Republic of Ireland and Czech Republic won their respective two-legged playoff tie to reach the finals.

Pot 1: Poland, Ukraine, Spain, Netherlands
Pot 2: Germany, Italy, England, Russia
Pot 3: Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Sweden
Pot 4: Denmark, France, Czech Republic, Republic of Ireland
