Plenty of interesting games to keep fans of Major League Soccer entertained this weekend. Here's all you need to know.

Another action-packed weekend is in store for MLS fans, as matchday 21 gets underway on Saturday. There will be plenty of great games to keep viewers entertained, including another Texan derby and league leaders Cincinnati looking to continue their brilliant start to the 2023 campaign.

Here's all you need to know ahead of matchday 21 in MLS.

How to watch Matchday 21 in the 2023 MLS season

It's set to be another busy weekend in MLS, as all the games played for matchday 21 will be crammed into one day. So, if you have any plans on Saturday, June 24th, make sure to take care of any errands prior to the games kicking off at 19.30 EST (16.30 PST).

Highlights of a very action-packed Saturday include an intriguing tie featuring Charlotte and Montreal. The two sides are presently languishing in the bottom half of the general MLS table, but it still could be an interesting one to follow as not only could history be potentially made, but also it will pit two teams with a strong home record and a poor away record against each other.

Elsewhere, DC United will hope to become the team to try to stop runaway leaders Cincinnati, who have picked up a whopping 43 points so far. Of course, that will be easier said than done, especially given how Pat Noonan's men have won 13 of their first 18 games - becoming the first team since the start of the 21st century to achieve this - and have beaten United in their last two meetings. In addition, United come into this game having lost back to back games for the first time since March.

An interesting Texan derby will also be on the cards this weekend as Austin welcome Houston Dynamo. It will be the ninth meeting between the two sides, and curiously, this match has never finished as a draw, with Austin winning five versus Houston's four. It will be the second Texan derby clash for Austin in a week, who come into this contest having beaten Dallas 3-0 a few days back, but they will be facing a Houston Dynamo side who've won three on the trot in the league and four across all comps.

Some fans, especially those in the USA and Canada, will be able to follow some of these games on TV. However, for those who can't access MLS games via TV or prefer a more flexible option, MLS Season Pass offers live streaming of MLS matches in over 100 countries worldwide.

Here is the full list of games for this weekend.

Top news of the week in Major League Soccer

Will Montreal make history this weekend?

Montreal have not had a great start to the season, and in fact, come into their upcoming game against Charlotte having lost eight of their last 10 away games this season. Their opponents, meanwhile, have also had their struggles, but have gotten some good results at home, where they've lost just one of their last nine home ties across all competitions. However, Montreal have beaten Charlotte twice in a row, and if they can find a way to fix their poor away form, could become the first team in MLS franchise history to defeat Charlotte in three consecutive meetings.

New England seek to maintain impressive home record...but will Toronto spoil the party?

New England, who currently sit in third spot in the Eastern Conference, have been steadily working their way up the table thanks to some solid results. Notably, the Revs are unbeaten in their last nine home games (W6 D3), while scoring at least three goals in their last three home games - and could do so on Saturday when floundering Toronto come to town, especially considering that Toronto have won just four of their last 43 away games dating back to 2021 (D11 L28).

That being said, the Revs will be wise not to dismiss Toronto too easily. The visiting side, who are only propped up from the bottom of the table by fellow strugglers Inter Miami, are unbeaten in their last four trips to New England's home ground (W2 D2) and in fact, haven't lost there in five years.
