Wesley Sneijder has reiterated his intention to remai with Inter Milan next season and this could be a massive blow to United's hopes of replacing Paul Scholes.
Manchester United were apparently in for Wesley Sneijder as they intensified their search for a perfect replacement for Paul Scholes. However, all their intentions have now reached a major stumbling block as the player himself is keen to remain with Inter Milan next season.

"There is a family atmosphere at Inter and there are all the ingredients to aim high," he said, according to Corriere dello Sport.

"Milan is marvellous, picturesque and full of elegance. I love it. At the moment I am very happy here and I don't see why I should leave."

The news certainly comes as a blow for United as they seek to bolster their quad ahead of next season. The chances of them signing Sneijder is looking absolutely slim now and perhaps other targets could virtually emerge on Sir Alex Ferguson's mind now. Who do you think can be a replacement for Paul Scholes?
