There’s a wide belief through the media that Chicharito will be included in Ferguson’s lucky starting XI for Saturday’s big UEFA Champions League final, Barcelona vs Manchester United.

Chicharito has been tipped to start against Barcelona and rock the CatalansA good number of times, Javier Hernandez has been a super sub this season. In 44 appearances for the Red Devils in total, the Mexican striker has scored 20 goals and he is poised to find the net for Manchester United against Barcelona at Wembley tomorrow.

Ferguson spoke to Manutd.com on Friday and praised the contribution of Chicharito in his first season in England. The Old Scott hinted at a starting role for the 22-year-old, as he declared:

“It's been an incredible season for the boy. Nobody at our club thought for a minute that he would achieve what he has achieved in his first season.

“Hopefully, he continues that way tomorrow night [against Barcelona]. He's got the temperament, he's got the speed, he's got the movement. He's got all the things necessary to be a good player tomorrow night.”

Alex Ferguson also talked about Manchester United’s chances against “favourites” Barcelona, saying:

“[Barca attack well but] we have players who can do that too. We’ve got attacking players and there's no question they'll be on show tomorrow.

“I think we've prepared as well as we can. I'm confident of that and if we perform well, we'll have a great chance [to win the 2011 UEFA Champions League].”
