There’s good news for Manchester United and Chicharito fans. The Red Devils now possess the Mexican striker’s signature for at least five more years.

Alex Ferguson has been working on new deals lately to secure Manchester United’s new generation inspired by young players. As agent Eduardo Hernandez explained according to Goal.com, Chicharito has added his name to the new contract list which already includes Tom Cleverly and Danny Welbeck.
“We have renegotiated Javier's contract and he is now committed for five years with Manchester United,” Eduardo Hernandez was quoted as saying as he buried the incredible rumor of a Barcelona move for the player.
“The initial contract was good for Manchester and for Javier because it enabled them both to see if they could fit together and if he could achieve what was expected of him. Both sides have met their expectations and United were happy to reward Javier after his very good performances last season.”
Chicharito is on the brink of really kick starting his 2011/12 English Premier League campaign. He did it last season; can he follow up with new achievements this term?

Javier Hernandez is now injury free as he confirmed last week while on international duty with Mexico. With Danny Welbeck out due to injury, Chicharito is poised to start for Manchester United against Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday. In 45 appearances for the Red Devils last season, the Mexican scored 20 goals and was influential in the buildup of many other goals.
This year, Javier Hernandez has not found the net yet, but colleague Wayne Rooney can see that coming. The English striker, who is apparently delighted to have Javier back, announced his expectations in an interview with MUTV.
There’s good news for Mexico and Javier Hernandez fans. The striker is finally back for his national team ahead of Friday’s international friendly against Poland.

After inspiring Mexico to glory at the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup, Javier Hernandez took some time off. He then suffered a setback following a concussion. Eventually, Javier Hernandez couldn’t feature in Manchester United’s other pre-season games.
However, the striker appeared as a substitute last Sunday as Man United enjoyed a goal feast at Old Trafford over Arsenal. Chicharito stepped onto the pitch at the 36th minute to replace goal scorer Danny Welbeck. Ahead of Friday’s Poland vs Mexico friendly, Javier Hernandez revealed his joy to play for El Tri again.
The 2011 FA Community Shield match between Manchester United and Manchester City might not be that glamorous…

It has been announced that Gold Cup champion Javier Hernandez won’t feature at Wembley on Sunday. Coach Alex Ferguson talked about the striker’s chances of playing by telling reporters:
“Hernandez is still two to three weeks away. He should be back at the end of August. Considering he had a concussion some years ago, we're playing it safe.”
Midfielder Michael Carrick is also believed to be suffering from an Achilles injury whereas defender Rafael is yet to recover from a knock he picked during Manchester United’s 2-1 victory over Barcelona on July 30. But the Red Devils aren’t the only one to be hit with injury news.
Chicharito won’t feature in Saturday’s highly anticipated Barcelona vs Manchester United World Football Challenge match.

The Mexican suffered a knock on his head during training earlier this week. He was eventually hospitalized and reports from Manchester United’s camp now confirm that Chicharito will be out for at least 2 weeks ahead of the new season.
Alex Ferguson gave more details to reporters in a recent interview. The Old Scot also explained the main reason behind Javier Hernandez’s inability to feature in the Red Devils’ encounter against Barcelona. Ferguson was quoted as saying by the press in the US:
“He [Chicharito] got concussion in training and we dealt with that. We took him to hospital, he had a scan. It was all clear. He is back in the hotel. He is in his room and will be out for a couple of weeks.
Chicharito is willing to exhibit his hard-working attitude following the great debut he had last season as a Manchester Unite player.

The Mexican made an instant impact at Old Trafford despite being offered substitute appearances only. Javier Hernandez, also known as Chicharito, stole the show at several occasions for the Red Devils—both in the English Premier League and in the UEFA Champions League.
He was part of the Manchester United team that lost to Barcelona in the 2011 Wembley final but he is now looking forward to next season with a great ambition to achieve more success.
Last weekend, Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson reiterated his belief in Chicharito’s potential. Talking to FIFA.com, the player declared that he was aiming to give back to Fergie and his team what they deserve:
Hernandez might have won the a record 19th Premier League title with Manchester United but tomorrow's Gold Cup final provides something completely out of the box for him

In football, we have rivalries that captivate attention. But the 2011 Gold Cup final will pit two teams that have massive history between themselves- and Javier Hernandez could be the determining factor tomorrow. Clashes between these two CONCACAF powerhouses have been eventful every time their take on the field for an undisputable battle. Mexico claim to be the best footballing nation in their region while the USA certainly gains pride and recognition whenever they beat the Mexicans.
But you see, this year’s final is a representation of much more factors than plain rivalry. We have a USA team that has been on the rise ever since their impressive outings in last summer's World Cup. We have a Mexico side brimming with splendid youth talent that is threatening to colonize the CONCACAF region. Yes, we are indeed relating it to Chicharito.
Javier Hernandez might be the key player for Mexico but he is already playing down thos rumors by stressing that football is a 'team game',

Javier Hernandez is the obvious focal point of a very talented Mexican squad ahead of their Gold Cup match against El Salvador tomorrow. The Manchester United striker has has an excellent season with the Premier League champions but Chicharito was quick to point out that only good performances by the whole team will win them matches.
"I'm not flying the flag for Mexican football. I just come to work and try my hardest to be professional and to give everything for this shirt, because I am representing my country.
"Football is not a sport like golf. It is a team game and i have come to work with the team. I had a great season with Manchester United and hopefully i can carry it into the national team as well.
More and more fingers are pointing at Manchester United’s Chicharito to become the hero in tonight’s UEFA Champions League final against Barcelona at Wembley. Rooney has also pointed his.
Admirers of Javier Hernandez have voiced out their amazement at the player’s quick settlement at Manchester United following his transfer from Guadalajara last summer. Ahead of Barcelona vs Manchester United, team mate Wayne Rooney praised the Mexican striker as he told the club’s official website:
“I don't think anybody expected this sort of season from him. But since he has joined [Manchester United], he has worked hard and cemented his place in the side.
“He is playing week in and week out and he’s scoring a lot of goals. It’s quite incredible and it wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up scoring the winning goal in the final to top it all off.
There’s a wide belief through the media that Chicharito will be included in Ferguson’s lucky starting XI for Saturday’s big UEFA Champions League final, Barcelona vs Manchester United.
A good number of times, Javier Hernandez has been a super sub this season. In 44 appearances for the Red Devils in total, the Mexican striker has scored 20 goals and he is poised to find the net for Manchester United against Barcelona at Wembley tomorrow.
Ferguson spoke to Manutd.com on Friday and praised the contribution of Chicharito in his first season in England. The Old Scott hinted at a starting role for the 22-year-old, as he declared:
“It's been an incredible season for the boy. Nobody at our club thought for a minute that he would achieve what he has achieved in his first season.
Javier Hernandez might just be playing in his first season with Man United but his good form means that he is likely to start against the Catalans on Saturday.

Who would have imagined Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez to be playing in a Champions League final after making his debut for Manchester United last summer? Nevertheless, the Mexican prodigy is living his wildest dreams with the Red Devils currently
"This first year has been marvelous for me. Neither the coach, nor I, nor my family expected this.
"You always want to think that things will go well, that things will go for the best, but never did I imagine playing much. I've been involved a lot in my first season, when I hoped to make a few appearances and play with the reserves and just a few minutes with the first team.
Will a particular player stand out above everyone at Wembley during the 2011 UEFA Champions League semi-final? And could it be Manchester United’s Mexican striker Chicharito?

As football pundits are getting their final predictions done, the name that emerges as the favourite to grab the headlines with a heroic performance is Lionel Messi. In fact, the Argentine rules at the top of goal scorers chart in the UEFA Champions League with an amazing number of 11 strikes. Messi is also no stranger to scoring against Manchester United.
After failing to do so at two consecutive attempts in the semi-finals of the 2007/08 UEFA Champions League, Lionel Messi finally worked things out in Rome as his golden header sealed Barcelona’s 2-0 victory over the Red Devils in the 2009 Champions League final. Many have tipped La Pulga to torment Manchester United one more time just as the player is hoping.
Manchester United will be competing in their third UEFA Champions League final in 4 seasons on May 28, 2011. How did the Reds make it to Wembley to face Barcelona? Live Soccer TV recaps their journey.
Champions League 2011: Few Goals, Strong Records
Manchester United’s run in the group stages of the 2010/11 UEFA Champions League produced the following statistics: 3 away matches, 3 away victories; 6 matches played and only 7 goals scored but also 1 goal conceded and up to 5 clean sheets.
Thanks to these numbers, Manchester United comfortably grabbed tickets to feature in the Round of 16. Like Barcelona, they successfully went through the group stages unbeaten. Like Barcelona, they also clinched 14 point out of a possible 18.
Javier Hernandez has warned the Chelsea camp ahead of the huge Champions League clash tonight by insisting that Wayne Rooney is on a hot run of form.

Wayne Rooney has had a season full of ups and downs but Hernandez insisted that the Englishman is back on fire ahead of the Chelsea-United clash tonight. The former Everton striker scored a hat-rick against West Ham last weekend although some inappropriate acts after scoring his third goal overshadowed the achievement.
Nevertheless, Hernandez believes that Rooney is more than ready to have a go at Chelsea's defenders tonight.
"Wayne is in sensational form and this is an extra problem for Chelsea," Hernandez told The Sun.
A couple of defensive misplays tell the story of the San Diego friendly.

After a much vaunted 3-1 win over Paraguay and a splendid performance by Javier Hernandez, Mexico's national team ventured back to San Diego (they had been stationed there last week) in order to face Venezeula, whose head coach Cesar Farias had been a target for most of the country's journalists over the past few days.
Rotations ensued for both teams after their weekend friendlies, but despite the short rest, patrons got a whiff of two dazzling young players on each side sure to make their marks on the national team for quite some time: Yohandry Orozco, Vfl Wolfsburg's talented midfielder for Venezuela, and of course, Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, Manchester United and Mexico's spectacular striker.
Despite the plethora of talent on display over the pitch, the match was not completely satisfying.
Mexico's win over Paraguay has them primed to face Venezuela this Tuesday.

Javier Hernandez scored a fantastic double against Paraguay while Andres Guardado struck another goal home en route to an easy 3-1 win victory against Paraguay. Christian Riveros scored in the 85th minute to avoid a clean sheet for Mexico goalkeeper Alfredo Talavera.
Meanwhile, Cesar Farias coached his Venezuela squad to a victory over Jamaica (2-0), with a fantastic performance from Yohandry Orozco who dished out two assists within two minutes in order to help his team to the victory at Montego Bay.
Now, both teams will meet in San Diego at Qualcomm Stadium for a showdown that will evoke memories of a game played just five months ago, as Mexico met Venezuela at the Estadio Azteca last October and drew to two goals with a Juan Arango double for Venezuela.
Javier Hernandez would have been given a major role in tonight’s Chelsea vs Manchester United match if Wayne Rooney had received a ban. But Fergie will now consider choosing Wazza ahead of Chicharito.

Not for the first time this season, the ex-Chivas striker will most probably have to start a game from the bench. Javier Hernandez, who scored a brace against Wigan Athletic last weekend, claims that he is not obsessed with gaining more favour in Alex Ferguson’s sight as a regular starter.
The Mexican explained that team work was more important than individual achievements as he is prepared to see Wayne Rooney start against Chelsea ahead of him.
“I have no problems being on the bench. I understand that football is a team sport, it’s not like golf or tennis,” Javier Hernandez told The Sun.

A turbulent mini-era of Mexican football ends in Ciudad Juárez as El Tri draw with a brave Venezuela.

Mexico bid adieu to a roller coaster 2010 by playing what can only be described as a charity match in violence-torn Ciudad Juárez against a Venezuela team that are putting the rest of South America on notice with their rapid development. Two Juan Arango goals from set pieces provided all of the Vinotinto's offense, while Manchester United's Javier Hernández and Tottenham's Giovani dos Santos bagged one each for their country in order to avoid the home loss. Pitch invasion, "Maza" Rodriguez's red card and post-match drama were also notable lowlights.

El Tri will take the pitch in its last match of 2010, celebrating the swan song against Venezuela.

After the referee blows his whistle to end hostilities between Mexico and Venezuela, fans will likely be seeing the last of many wearing the characteristic green uniform of the CONCACAF giants.
They'll definitely be seeing the last of Efrain Flores on the touchline. A new era is expected to be ushered in in the following weeks, with either Toluca boss José Manuel de la Torre or Monterrey manager Victor Manuel Vucetich taking the reins.
Several players might be on their way out of the team due to age or disciplinary reasons: a party in which prostitutes and alcohol purportedly played a major factor between national team players has already yielded two suspendees in Arsenal striker Carlos Vela and Celtic midfielder Efrain Juarez.
Meanwhile, Venezuela look forward to Brazil 2014 under Cesar Farias, and will attempt to break into the top of the heap in South America, en route to their first World Cup appearance.
