Liverpool have sorted out managerial issues by giving a 3-year contract to coach Kenny Dalglish. Rumours surrounding Ancelotti’s stay at Chelsea, meanwhile, are yet to be buried...
It was in an overjoyed mood that Liverpool legend Dalglish confirmed the news about his status as the Merseyside Reds’ permanent boss now. Football pundits had always tipped the ex-Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United boss to be offered a permanent position at the head of Liverpool’s coaching staff following his appointment as the caretaker manager in January 2011.

The general opinion among Liverpool fans is that the future of the club is bright under Kenny Dalglish and the club’s owners have finally converted everyone’s belief into a 3-year contract. Speaking to English media The Sun, Kenny Dalglish was happy to announce the info by declaring:

“I said, when I took the job on in January, that I was just happy to help the club out for the remainder of the season. Now, the owners have decided in their wisdom that they want me to stay a little longer, and this is fantastic news.

“The owners have taken their time to assess what was best for the football club and bring in the people they wanted to take the club forward.

“They are both winners, but they understand what the supporters want from a Liverpool side and the way that we should go about things.

“This is a unique football club and I am delighted to have the opportunity to help build something special here again.”

Meanwhile, the managerial issue is not the same at Chelsea. Rumours have long been linking Carlo Ancelotti with a return to AS Roma as the Lupi are experiencing a Thomas DiBenedetto revolution. But knowing that Chelsea are more than likely to end the season without silverware after messing it up against Manchester United in the Premiership last weekend, John Terry has come out to back Ancelotti publicly.

“He has got my full support. I love Carlo. He won the double in his first year, and this season the injuries and releasing players has been tough for him.

“When [ex-boss Jose] Mourinho was here, we had a big squad but we miss that. Somewhere in between where we are and what we had would be ideal.”

In other news, there are fresh transfer rumours linking Real Madrid’s Kaka to a reunion with former Milan boss Ancelotti after the Brazilian’s mother, earlier this week, posted a message on Twitter indicating that the family will be in London soon to “spread the word of God”. With Madrid signing midfielder Nuri Sahin recently, probabilities that Kaka will leave the Bernabeu are high, but it remains to be seen if the next destination is Stamford Bridge.
