The first games in Liga MX after nearly four months showed teams to be a bit rusty, but after one more week of work, it seems like most squads will be able to show their fans what's expected of them.
The "new normality" in Mexican football will see their clubs having to work with what they've got, and that will see them not having their fans around to support them in their time of need. Teams such as the recently created Mazatlán FC (adding their pitch bugs to the mix), Necaxa and even Guadalajara had to deal with the absence of their fans inside the stadium, and their results from Matchday 1 speak for themselves.
Contrary to what the league had stated before the tournament began, Matchday 2 will begin on Friday with two games, one of them featuring Cruz Azul. Saturday will also have two matches for fans to watch, with América making their home debut in the competition. Sunday will be the busiest day with three games, and all activity on Matchday 2 will come to an end with two Monday night games.

Tigres vs Pachuca
The team from the North side of Mexico kicked off their performance in the competition in strong form by beating Necaxa three-nil. Asking Ferretti's men to keep it cool at home would not be the right thing to do, especially with all their firepower. On the other side of the pitch, Pachuc left many doubts in their debut against América and Pezzolano's men will try to shock the league by claiming at least one point at El Volcán.

León vs Monterrey
The team in green would have taken all the points home from their visit to Chivas if Angel Mena had been more accurate in front of goal. Now, Nacho Ambriz and Co. host defending champions Monterrey, who had the most disappointing title defense in the botched Clausura 2020 tournament. Monterrey won their first match of the competition since December 26 last week, and nabbing two wins in a row could confirm that hard times are over for the blue and white side.
