Diego Milito has spoken about his confidence ahead of Inter Milan's clash with Schalke tonight. The Argentinean striker believes that victory is more than possible for the Nerazzurri.
San Siro is ready for a massive clash between Inter Milan and Schalke tonight and Diego Milito is obviously relishing the tie having said that Inter Milan are capable of defeating the German side.

Schalke have not been impressive in the Bundesliga but some good performances in Europe have seen them progress this far. Nonetheless, Milito still feels that Ralf Rangnick’s side are more than worthy opponents for Inter.

"We are convinced we can progress to the next stage, but Schalke are a strong team and we respect them," said the Argentina international, according to ESPNSoccernet.

"You don't arrive to the quarter-finals just like that and it will be a difficult tie. We want to play a great game and win tomorrow."

Leonardo's men suffered a disappointing defeat against arch rivals AC Milan in the Milan derby last weekend. However, Milito stressed that his teammates will be ready to let bygones be bygones.

Milito said: "We have put that defeat behind us. We are only thinking about tomorrow's match - more so, after a defeat.

"We don't have to prove anything to anyone. We've had a starring role in this competition so far and we intend to keep it."

The Argentinean himself has only just returned from an injury that kept him out of action for almost two months. Having made a substitute appearance in the defeat against Milan, Milito now feels completely fit and is ready to roar against Schalke later tonight.

"I am physically and mentally well. I am in good condition. I am delighted to have returned and I'm eager to help the team.

"It has been a difficult season for me due to injuries but I am ready to transform the anger into positive energy and give my contribution to the team."
