The Lionesses will host the South American side in what should be an entertaining clash between two of the best teams in the world.

England and Brazil will lock horns in a friendly match set to take place at Middlesbrough with a number of questions that could get their answer.

The English side gets to this game after their impressive run in the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, which saw them reach a historical fourth spot in the competition. It was the second World Cup in a row in which the English side finished among the top four, and even if they were not able to make it past the semis, their improvement on both ends of the pitch was quite palpable.

On the other side of the pitch will be Brazil, a team that has failed to live up to the hype when it comes to FIFA Women's World Cup games, since it's been over 12 years since their last top-four finish. The South American team saw their 2019 WWC end in the Round of 16, leaving the possibility of a change looming in the air.

England will be playing their third friendly game after the conclusion of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. Phil Neville's team has not been able to win any of their previous friendlies, which ended in a 3-3 draw against Belgium and a 2-1 loss against Norway.

Brazil will also be playing their third friendly after the end of thr FIFA WWC. As Canarinhas collected a win against Argentina with an emphatic 5-0 score, while their other clash ended in a goalless draw against Chile. La Roja would go on to beat the Brazilian side in the subsequent penalty shootout.

This will be the third game between these sides in less than a year. The English side has taken home two wins after their 1-0 win in a friendly game held on October 6, 2018. Then, the Lionesses would go on to beat the South American side in their SheBelieves Cup clash with a 2-1 score.
