The North American derby will see El Tri and the Yanks going at it just two months after their last meeting.

The second meeting between the USMNT and Mexico in 2019 is set to take place at MetLife Stadium on Friday, in what will be one interesting "friendly" clash to watch.

These teams know almost everything there is to know about each other, especially after playing for the CONCACAF Gold Cup title back in July. Mexico defeated Gregg Berhalter's men with a 1-0 score, in what was also good enough to give coach Gerardo Martino his first title with a National Team.

Mexico's feat during the 2019 Gold Cup was accomplished with some glaring absences, as Javier Hernández, Héctor Herrera, Hirving Lozano and Jesús Corona were not around due to a number of reasons. Now, all of these players return to El Tri, giving coach Martino a full deck of cards to choose from. Added to those names, captain Andrés Guardado, striker Raúl Jiménez and goalie Guillermo Ochoa will be some of the marquee players involved in this clash.

As for the USMNT, who are desperately looking to add some credibility to Gregg Berhalter's run as their coach, the chances for rising footballers don't seem to be ending soon. Christian Pulisic will be leading the pack, and he will be joined by fellow teenagers Sergiño Dest (Ajax), Paxton Pomykal (Dallas) and Josh Sargent (Besiktas). Seasoned veteran Michael Bradley will not be around for this clash.

This will be the 27th meeting in a friendly match between Mexico and the USMNT. Each team has won 10 games, with the remaining six ending in a draw. The last friendly clash between these sides saw the Yanks claim a 1-0 win over a young Mexican side.

With the last two games between these teams being decided by a one-goal margin, we can expect a tight clash between the two best teams in the CONCACAF region.
