In our match preview informing you how to watch Arsenal's clash with Burnley, we compare team statistics and analyze their head-to-head record.

What is the form of Burnley compared to Arsenal?

Burnley may be heading into this tie on the back of a 2-0 loss to Everton, the Clarets have registered crucial results in recent games. There were crucial back-to-back wins over Wolves and Bournemouth in late April and early May while they held Chelsea to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal, on the other hand, has been utterly atrocious in the league. Despite home and away victories over Napoli and then Valencia in the Europa League quarter and semi-finals, they are without a win in four games in the English top-flight (D1, L3).

Burnley vs Arsenal head-to-head record

Given the Gunners' poor form, betting on Sean Dyche's men would be understandable. However, it should be noted that the home side is currently on a nine-game losing streak against the north London giant and is without a win in their last 11 encounters.

Games played: 106

Burnley wins: 33

Arsenal wins: 52

Draws: 21

Who's injured/suspended for Burnley vs Arsenal?

James Tarkowski could make his return after being excused from the squad due to the recent birth of his baby. Phil Bardsley could also be back but the same cannot be confidently said about Aaron Lennon.

As for Arsenal, Ainsley Maitland-Niles makes his return after seeing out his suspension due to his sending off in the loss to Leicester. Emery will continue to be without the services of Denis Suarez, Rob Holding, Hector Bellerin, Aaron Ramsey, and Danny Welbeck who are all sidelined, with the latter two waving farewell to the Emirates Stadium ahead of their summer moves.

Key talking point -- can Arsenal make the top four?

With Arsenal set to face Chelsea in the Europa League final, one cannot rule out the odds of the Gunners losing that game despite their impressive record against the Blues in finals. As a result, a question arises: can Aubameyang and Co. still make the top four.

The answer is yes, but the permutations don't favor it happening. This is due to the fact that Tottenham boasts a three-point lead over their neighbor and need only a point to cement their Champions League spot. Furthermore, a defeat for Pochettino's men on the final day might still not suffice for the Gunners as they have an eight-goal disadvantage to overturn.

Not only would Spurs have to lose to Everton, but they would also have to suffer a heavy defeat. Arsenal would need a huge victory over the Clarets to wrap things up but odds appear to be against them. Europa League is their best shot at the Champions League. A top-four finish is a far one.
