After banging a hat-trick against Leyton Orient in the FA Cup on Wednesday, Bendtner is extremely confident of scoring goals ahead of Tuesday’s Barcelona vs Arsenal match in the Champions League.
The Danish striker knows how it is like to score at the Camp Nou as he netted an early opener against the Catalans last season. However, Lionel Messi got the better of Arsenal’s poor defence as Barcelona went on to win the match 4-1 and 6-3 on aggregate.

This term, as Nicklas Bendtner is counting on each of his team mates to live up to expectations, he is confident of working wonders upfront for the Gunners. The Sun quoted the striker, who will be without the injured Robin van Persie, as saying:

“Can I lead the line against Barcelona? Of course. I’m now getting back to where I belong, and there are still improvements to come.

“To score again there [at the Camp Nou] is the dream scenario. We have to take our chances because Barcelona always score when they play at home.

“I feel that, in the last month, I have definitely improved. That is due to my injury problems being completely finished.

“Last season, I played for a bit when I was half-injured but there was no-one else, so I did my best and got through it.

“It has taken me a long time to get back to where I am, but I am pleased with my progress and that I have got back to playing the way I want to play.”

Arsenal go into the second leg of this UEFA Champions League tie against Barcelona with a 2-1 advantage. At the Emirates Stadium back in February, Robin van Persie and Arshavin each scored in the latter stages of the second period to deny David Villa’s opener from offering anything more than just an away goal to the visitors.
