Arsenal have confirmed that striker Robin Van Persie will be out for three weeks and will miss the Champions League clash with Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
Robin Van Persie has been in good form lately, scoring 11 goals in his last 13 matches for the Gunners. However, the Dutchman injured his knee whilst scoring for Arsenal in the League Cup final defeat against Birmingham at Wembley.

Manager Arsene Wenger said: "Unfortunately, we had bad news on the scan and he will be out for the next three weeks for sure. It could be longer. The shortest delay we can imagine is three weeks [so] he is definitely out for Barcelona."

This news comes as a blow for the Gunners who are already without Thomas Vermaelen and Lukasz Fabianski due to long term injury. Even Theo Walcott is a major doubt for the Nou Camp.

However, Arsene Wenger revealed that Alex Song could be fit for the Barcelona game and Fabregas might have an outside chance as well.

"Song has a knee problem as well. From his scan we had good news; it is only blood from a kick on the outside of his knee. He has a good chance for Barcelona," Wenger told the club's official website.

Arsenal will now turn to Bendtner and Chamakh to provide the firepower when the Gunners take on Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
