Manchester United defender John O'Shea has admitted that Tuesday's clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge is all about the result; not the performance.
Chelsea will host Manchester United at the Bridge in what is going to be a feisty encounter between two teams with different aims and aspirations as the end of the season draws closer. Chelsea are now aiming to finish in the top 4 and United are engaged in a battle with Arsenal for the Premier League crown.

Recently, Chelsea captain John Terry claimed that pressure will be on United during the clash. However, John O'Shea has stated that Manchester United are well prepared ahead of this fixture and they have the ability to remain at the top of the table for the rest of the season.

"Obviously John Terry has to keep the season alive - and we still have to play them twice,” he told Sky Sports.

"We have the experience but we have to show it on the pitch, it's pure and simple."

"It is definitely a case that the result is everything, especially when it comes to big weeks like this.”

O'Shea also believes that the result will be the only thing that matters when the Red Devils take on Chelsea.

"Not many people are going to remember how well we played if we win,” he continued.

"We are on top of the league at the minute and hopefully we can keep the cushion ahead of other teams.

“That obviously means not losing games, and going to places like Stamford Bridge and getting results.”

Manchester United have not won at the Bridge for over seven years and O'Shea stated that United are eager to put an end to that run.

"We haven't had the most favorable of results down there recently,” he added.

“But we are looking forward to the challenge of trying to put that right."
