Mark Van Bommel has said that he would still be open to a move to Tottenham Hotspurs in the future after seeing a move to White Hart Lane collapse during the January transfer window
Mark Van Bommel was interested in joining Spurs but the deal fell through after Harry Redknapp decided to not sign him- a decision Harry admits to regret.

Van Bommel then subsequently signed for AC Milan during the window. However, he insists that he has been impressed with what Rafael Van Der Vaart has told him and believes that Spurs could be his last club.

"We had some contact with Spurs, unfortunately it didn't work at the end," Van Bommel told Sky Sports.

"It's one of my favorite clubs in England. I really love the stadium. I know the training ground because we trained there with the national team and of course Rafael told me a lot of good things.

"I don't know how things will go [in future]. I'm really pleased with how Harry Redknapp speaks about me. That's always positive. I'd love to play for Spurs, I've told Rafael that as well.

"I told Rafael and okay, it didn't work out in the end. It's not good to look back, I'm always looking to the future and I'm happy now at Milan - but you never know what will happen."
