Real Madrid, Nistelrooy and Hamburg are all involved in a new transfer saga. The player seems ready to run into Real Madrid’s arms, but Hamburg’s Armin Veh doesn’t want Ruud to go.
Last weekend, the Dutch striker revealed that he was considering a return to the Santiago Bernabeu where he spent 4 years – scoring 64 goals in 96 appearances in the process. However, Ruud van Nistelrooy’s career at Real Madrid wasn’t free from frequent injury worries.

In his last 2 years with Los Blancos, the current Hamburg striker featured in only 16 matches as he spent most of his time on the sidelines. In Germany, however, Nistelrooy fitness isn’t a worry and this is one of the reasons why Hamburg coach Armin Veh doesn’t understand why the 34-year-old should quit a place where he’s found peace when it comes to health issues.

In an interview with ZDF, the manager talked about the transfer saga involving Nistelrooy and Real Madrid.

“I’ve been aware about that since Thursday now, and I’ve already been in touch directly with Ruud about Real Madrid’s interest.

“We haven’t received any bid from Real Madrid, and I really don’t want to lose Ruud. That’s what I think. I want him to stay.

“Ruud is actually in a state of fitness he never enjoyed before joining our club. To see him moving would be a bitter loss for Hamburg.

“We are desperate to do everything we can to ensure that he will remain here.”

In some latest transfer news involving Real Madrid, the Daily Mail have reported that Los Blancos have dropped their hunt for Nistelrooy (at the relief of Hamburg). Instead, Real Madrid are eying a move for Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez. Could this be true?
