Real Madrid will aim to put their first knockout game to bed after snatching a 3-1 home win at the Bernabeu. The European champions enter the fixture at the back of four wins in their last five fixtures and are currently soaring in form and confidence. Star man Cristiano Ronaldo has also been on a renaissance in recent times after having a relatively slow start to life this season.

The Portuguese superstar registered his 300th La Liga goal just a few days ago and has scored 14 times in his last 8 games. The former Manchester United man will undoubtedly find his name among the starting XI but a selection dilemma awaits Zidane as to who will be the ideal partners upfront for the current world best.

With Bale, Benzema, Asensio, Isco, and Vasquez all fit, the Frenchman is indeed spoilt for choices. Midfield pair Luka Modric and Toni Kroos also traveled with the squad to France having missed previous games via injury.

In PSG’s corner, Angel DI Maria is expected to fill the shoes of the injured world-record signing Neymar Jr in the upcoming clash. Having sat out the first leg despite brimming in form prior to the encounter, the Argentine international is expected to put in a shift this time around that will make Unai Emery question his own decision to rest him.

The former Los Blancos winger took his goal tally in his last six games to seven in PSG’s Ligue 1 win over Troyes on Saturday. The task ahead is a daunting one for Unai Emery’s side but it isn’t one that is impossible. As a positive, the defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu was the French club's first loss in 10 games.

With the likes of Cavani, Mbappe as well as center-back Marquinhos, midfielder Marco Verratti reportedly available, a real battle could be on the cards at the Parc des Princes.  However, the host will be required to take most of their chances this time around.

After running away from Portugal with an emphatic 5-0 victory, the Reds will look to wrap up their qualification into the quarter-final of the Champions League at Anfield. As a result, Jurgen Klopp is expected to tweak his lineup a little bit with his side’s crunchy encounter with Manchester United in the Premier League just around the corner.

At the moment, only Georginio Wijnaldum and Ben Woodburn are unavailable to feature in the game as both are out with illness. With Jurgen Klopp citing that he’ll avoid the temption of resting his best players, hat-trick hero at the Estadio do Dragao, Sadio Mane, as well as the in-form Roberto Firmino and Mohammed Salah, are expected to play a role in the game. The attacking trident has accumulated a total of 66 goals so far this season.

Aside finding the antidote to contain the threat the above trio pose, FC Porto also has the herculean task to score six goals if it still fancies its chance of progressing. Per history, no team has ever progressed to the next round of the Champions League knockout stage after losing 5:0 in the first leg game.

However, the visitors could be motivated to do the unthinkable as they come into Tuesday’s game at the back of three successive victories. It will still take some doing with star full-back Alex Telles alongside Danilo Pereira, Soares and striker Moussa Marega all out injured.
