The Algerian playmaker has missed every training session with the Foxes since the club refused to let him join Manchester City.

Riyad Mahrez's transfer situation hasn't changed one bit, and the player has made a list of demands if Leicester City want to have him back to the team's training sessions.

According to a report by The Sun, Mahrez has instructed his advisors to negotiate a transfer guarantee from the club, mainly because he's "depressed" due to the team's decision to block his move to Manchester City on Transfer Deadline Day.

The player, who even handed in a transfer request, has been sought out by Manchester City and Arsenal in the past. While a transfer guarantee from the club seems to be a bit far-fetched, a release clause in his contract could give way for a transfer next summer if any top-caliber club comes knocking at the Foxes' door.

Mahrez risking $138,000-a-week for going rogue

Riyad Mahrez's situation has been the subject of speculation for almost a week, due to the player's decision to stop training with Leicester City. If he refuses to change his stance, the player could forfeit his weekly wage of $138,000 , according to PFA boss Gordon Taylor.

"It’s about practicalities. If he’s not in at the club he won’t be paid," Taylor stated.

Despite his first words, the union's main man showed sympathy for Mahrez's cause, even offering himself as a mediator between both parties in order to reach a satisfactory conclusion.

"Mahrez has been unsettled by approaches. He’s a human being. We’re ready to act if we’re called in. We offered our services last week to the club but I’ve not heard anything back," Taylor added.

The player's form has been decisive for Leicester's 2017-18 season, scoring eight goals, handing out seven assists, and keeping the team in contention for a spot in European competitions.
