In midweek, Edin Dzeko was expected to officially become a Manchester City player in a matter of hours. However, visa issues delayed his transfer which explain why it was only on Friday that the 24-year-old completed it. Sharing comments with the public and the media, Edin Dzeko stated on Manchester City’s website:
Queens Park Rangers
Championship leaders, Queen’s Park Ranger’s manager, Neil Warnock is lamenting the loss of Ipswich Town’s Jon Walters to Premier League side Stoke City. Warnock told BBC Radio London, "I think we're miles away. I told the directors we're a sixth to tenth position team.”
He continued, "We need two good strikers but we lost one of them to the Premier League. We thought we had him last week. It's disappointing as Walters has been my number one target now for a long time."
Cardiff City
In contrast to QPR, Cardiff City have no shortage of strikers. As well as having the division’s top scorer in Jay Boothroyd, the Bluebirds have Michael Chopra, Peter Whittingham and Craig Bellemy in the squad, and have just signed Wolves’ striker Andy Keogh on a season long loan.
Dave Jones the Bluebirds boss has also added, Seyi Olofinjana, Danny Drinkwater, Jason Koumas, Lee Naylor and Tom Heaton to the side this summer so will have to shuffle his pack if he wants to keep them all happy.
However, it looks likely that Ross McCormack will be heading out of the club, with Leeds United and Hull City the favorites to sign the talented young striker.
