Mourinho needs more cash to fight Man City

Mourinho demands more money to catch up to Manchester City

December 26, 2017 By Oscar Rojas
The Portuguese boss hinted that the Red Devils could once again splash cash this winter to try and lure the title away from Guardiola's men.

Jose Mourinho's post-match press conferences whenever his teams don't win have given fans glorious moments. Ever since his days at Real Madrid, his statements have become popular among football fans, and today, he provided one more classic moment for those in love with the beautiful game.

Speaking after the stoppage time draw against Burnley, Mourinho made Ed Woodward a request: more money. According to the Special One, Manchester United can't compete with Manchester City if they don't splash cash like their neighbors.

It is not enough, it is not enough. Manchester City buy full backs for the price of the strikers," Mourinho stated, adding that legendary teams have to pay more for those players they want. "The price for the big clubs, the price for the big clubs is different from the other clubs," he continued.

Despite being top of the league at the start of the season, Mourinho's script has changed now, claiming that even if they are quite talented, they may yet fall short in reaching their ultimate goal.

"We are in the second year of trying to rebuild a football team you know is not one of the best teams in the world," Mourinho concluded.
