The Italian boss admitted that the Spaniard's absence will force him to change his tactical approach when they face Everton.

Alvaro Morata's absence after receiving a fifth booking in the game against Bournemouth wasn't expected by his coach, especially due to the nature of the "infraction".

According to the Italian boss, who spoke about the matter in today's presser, the FA should explain why the ref chose to book Morata after such a "normal" celebration, since he just hid the ball behind shirt to celebrate his wife's pregnancy.

"It is very important to see what happened because if the ref only booked him because he put the ball under his shirt, it is a pity and you can allow this celebration as you are showing your joy, but if something different happened after this then the ref judged it in a different way," Conte stated.

Ref Lee Mason watch Morata's celebration closely. Apparently, the ref judged Morata for wasting time after scoring in stoppage time.

Conte admitted that he was distracted celebrating the game-winning goal, but he believes there is room for improvement after this setback suffered by his team.

"At that moment we were enjoying the goal and I did not see the situation but I knew he tried to celebrate the goal with the ball under the shirt. It is a pity but we have to accept the decision and at the same time try in the future to pay great attention," the coach added.

Chelsea will face Everton on Saturday trying to level Manchester United's 41-point tally in the current Premier League campaign.
