Rankings & Permutations
Here's how things are in the group ahead of the matches
France will clinch the group if they win and Sweden lose.
Les Bleus would guarantee a top-two finish if they win, while a draw could be enough provided the Netherlands fail to beat Belarus.
The Netherlands will be out if they either fail to at least match Sweden's result or do better than whatever France manage against Bulgaria.
Preview
France come into their game against Bulgaria having stuttered to a surprise scoreless draw with an already eliminated Luxembourg. They're also missing key man Paul Pogba due to injury, but nonetheless are the heavy favorites to take advantage of a very porous Bulgaria side who have shipped 17 goals so far in qualifiying. In fact, the Bulgarians have conceded as many goals as Luxembourg, and with France boasting attacking options like Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappe, Alexandre Lacazette, it's easy to see why Didier Deschamps's side are expected to pick up all three points on the road, despite Bulgaria managing to beat second-placed Sweden recently.
As for the Netherlands, they sit in third and obviously will be aiming to take advantage of Belarus sitting bottom of the group. That being said, despite Belarus already being eliminated, they're playing at home and will want to throw a monkey wrench in the Oranje's plans, who will be without veteran striker Robin Van Persie for this fixture.
