If Phillippe Coutinho was bummed because of his botched Barcelona move, there was no sign of that today.
The Brazilian star returned from international duty to Liverpool's training grounds at Melwood, and he was seen with a big old smile most of the time he was on the pitch. The player spent most of the time alongside Alberto Moreno, and there was no hint of dismay in his face after watching his supposed "dream move" to Barcelona flop.
Coutinho hasn't played a single minute this season, as he dealt with back problems and muscular issues prior to the international break. While some news reports claimed this to be "excuses" to force a move away from Anfield, Coutinho returned fully fit with Brazil, and is expected to make the squad that faces Man City this weekend.
Jürgen Klopp spoke about Coutinho's return with the team, sharing details about the conversation he held with the player.
Klopp on speaking to Coutinho: “Of course - all good. Nothing else to say. He’s back and we had a really good conversation, so good."

Klopp on Coutinho: "Yes, he will do a bit more than the other boys. He showed up in a very, very good mood and looks really promising.”

Liverpool are currently 2nd in the EPL after three games, having won twice and drawn their first clash of the season. While Coutinho may not start the game against Man City, the Brazilian seems set to be included in the squad traveling to Etihad Stadium this Saturday.
