The Blues are preparing to make two mega-money moves over the summer, and thus need funding.

Chelsea, dealt a blow in the FA Cup final against Arsenal despite their near-perfect Premier League campaign, are preparing to improve their squad for next season.

Despite boasting an impressive attack, Conte looks to add two excellent young attackers: Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata. The Everton and Real Madrid forwards will likely leave their current clubs over the summer, but they will not come cheap.

As a result, The Times report that the Blues are plotting selling one star player in order to fund their summer spending. That man is Diego Costa, their rebellious top-scorer.

The former Atletico Madrid ace has long been linked with a Stamford Bridge exit, rumors further fueled by a reported row between player and manager over a bid from China. Now Conte appears ready to sell the Spaniard to the highest bidders.

Costa recently admitted to being keen on a Chelsea stay. After the 2-1 loss to Arsenal, the former Atletico man stated that he would only leave London for a return to Los Rojiblancos.

Conte, however, believes that now is the right time to cash in on Diego. With the striker being 28 with only two years remaining on his contract, a summer sale would raise substantial funds.

It is unknown whether Chelsea can agree deals for both Morata and Lukaku, as the latter alone is valued at £100m.
