On Wednesday, Man United and Ajax will battle it out for the Europa League title. These two clubs will benefit from the title, but the Red Devils need it to also book their place in next season’s Champions League.
Mourinho’s men rested key players towards the later stage of the Premier League in order to focus on this title. Here are three feats at stake for the Red Devils in Stockholm
The end of the losing streak?
Man United have an amazing history in Europe, but their recent form in UEFA finals has been poor. This is their 12th final, having won six and lost five.
Their last three finals have all ended in defeats – the 2008 UEFA Super Cup, and the 2009 and 2011 Champions League finals. The Red Devils need to put that losing streak to rest.
Their manager’s record in finals
Mourinho is the master of major European finals. In fact, the Special One has appeared in three UEFA finals, winning all three.

Man United to complete the UEFA treble?
If Pogba and Co. triumph, Man United will become only the fifth club to win all three of UEFA’s major club competitions – European Champion Clubs' Cup/Champions League, UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League and European Cup Winners' Cup
