The midfielder shared his views on why the Italian boss was so successful during his debut season in the Premier League.

Cesc Fábregas spoke about Chelsea's successful season, and even if he didn't mean to, he ended up taking a jibe at Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola.

Named by many as the top candidates to lift the Premier League title, Antonio Conte's Chelsea managed to beat both teams from the city of Manchester in the title race, and according to Fabregas, the Italian's approach on the game was the key element that saw him overcome the Spaniard and Portuguese bosses.

"Conte is meticulous. Until everything is done, training is not finished. He is the coach who worked the most tactically, more than with (Jose) Mourinho and (Pep) Guardiola. Conte is something else," Fábregas told Cadena Ser.

The player contributed to his team's title with 5 goals and 11 assists, despite not being considered as a starter in many games.

Fabregas went on about how Chelsea worked during the course of the season, which secured a fifth title for The Blues in the EPL.

"We have run a lot this season, lots of gym work and sprints. We did very well, the team was phenomenal physically. There is a lot of pressure to go up and down the pitch," the Spaniard added.

Despite this season's success, Fabregas admitted that the team will have it complicated to take a similar approach, especially because they will have to add European football to their schedule.

"We have to take into account that this year we have not had to play in the Champions League, something that will not happen next season," Fabregas concluded.

The Blues will put an end to their successful EPL campaign on Sunday, with their FA Cup final clash taking place on May 27. There, Chelsea will face Arsenal, in what should be a special occasion for Fabregas, as he takes on his former team.
