UEFA Champions League semi-finals overview

All four teams are quite formidable in their own right. Monaco currently sits on top of Ligue 1 and are looking good to prise the league title from PSG's hands. Les Rouges-et-Blancs have pulled off some stunning results, namely beating both Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund in high-octane matches. And they certainly will want to add a major European title to cap off an excellent season.

Juventus boast the strongest defense in not just Italy, but in the Champions League. The Bianconeri are seeking to win their first UCL title in over two decades. Massimiliano Allegri's men have been quite impressive so far in this tournament, notably shutting down Barcelona for 180 minutes to win the quarter-finals 3-0 on aggregate. La Vecchia Signora is hoping to clinch a coveted Treble, as they are in the finals of the Coppa Italia plus sitting on top of Serie A.

Atletico Madrid are hoping to finally end their frustrations that have seen them finish as runners-up twice in the past four seasons (in 2014 and 2016). Diego Simeone has truly transformed Los Rojiblancos into a top-class side, but has seen the Champions League elude him time and time again. Interestingly, there will be another Madrid Derby, but this time, Atleti won't be facing cross-town opponents Real Madrid in the final. Can they overcome their hoodoo against their city rivals in European competition?

And last, but certainly not least, Real Madrid are hoping to become the first team to successfully win back-to-back Champions League titles. Los Blancos, of course are the all-time leaders in terms of titles won, with 11 to their name. Zinedine Zidane impressed in his debut season last year, and the French tactician will have a chance to write his name into the history books should they triumph in Cardiff. Since the tournament was reformatted in 1992, no team has ever managed to defend their title, and the last overall was AC Milan who won it in 1989 and 1990 - back when the Rossoneri were still among the giants of Europe.

Who will triumph in the first leg? Don't miss out on these two crucial games!
