Team news

With nine games remaining, Arsenal need as many wins as possible in order to seal a top-four finish. Having returned to winning ways at home against West Ham, triumphing 3-0, the Gunners will be keen to another victory.

However, Arsene Wenger will have no choice but to start third-choice goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez once more. Both Petr Cech and David Ospina won’t recover from injury in time for Monday’s game, leaving the inexperienced Argentine shot-stopper as Le Prof’s only choice.

Laurent Koscielny, who has captained the club for most of this season, misses out due to an Achilles injury. The Frenchman joins Lucas Perez and long-term absentee Santi Cazorla on the bench. Francis Coquelin is back in contention for the Selhurst Park trip.

Crystal Palace have their own worries. Yohann Cabaye is out of this tie after hurting his calf in the Southampton defeat. The Frenchman joins a long list of absentees that includes Scott Dann, Pape Souare, James Tomkins, Fraizer Campbell and Connor Wickham.

James McArthur could make a return against Arsenal, with Joe Ledley also available after missing their last game due to his wife giving birth.
