Team news

Arsenal head into this fixture needing a win. Although progression is all but impossible, victory would do wonders for the Gunners’ confidence, something they are low on at the moment.

The north London outfit have been struggling lately. Their 3-1 loss to Liverpool over the weekend saw them drop to fifth in the league, and sparked rumors of a row between Alexis Sanchez and the rest of the team.

The Chilean, who started on the bench in the Anfield trip, will return to the starting lineup on Tuesday. Unfortunately, he won’t be joined by Mesut Ozil. The German playmaker has not fully recovered from illness, and will thus miss this clash.

Aaron Ramsey returned to the squad on Saturday, but was an unused substitute against Liverpool. The Welshman could be handed a start against Bayern Munich.

Carlo Ancelotti has his top dogs ready for the London clash. Mats Hummels, Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and Xabi Alonso  were all rested over the weekend, but will return for this Champions League clash.
