The Spanish attacker didn't even make the bench for the Stamford Bridge tie, leaving Gooners fuming.

The presence and power of Arsenal fans on social media is well-known. They can get any of their players leading a poll, they bask in victories for all to see, and they experience epic meltdowns when things don’t go right.

The latter was visible for all to see when the club announced their squad for their important clash with Chelsea. Supporters were expecting a mess in midfield due to a number of injuries, but there was a surprise omission from the Gunners’ attack.

With Welbeck and Giroud being benched in favor of Alexis, Walcott, and Iwobi; fans couldn’t help but wonder where Lucas Perez was. Having joined the north London outfit last summer, he has struggled for games in the Premier League despite his lovely contributions.

The Spaniard has two assists and three goals under his belt from his last three starts alone, but didn’t get the nod for the Stamford Bridge tie. If fit, he must definitely be wondering what he has to do to start.

Fans were not happy. They vented their frustration on Twitter, attacking Wenger in particular. Check out the best tweets.
