Another year has gone by, meaning exciting football; awesome matches; shocking results; and amazing ads have passed. Footballer players are no longer confined to the pitch, as their awesomeness no pours onto the screen.
Commercials with some of the beautiful game’s biggest name are nothing new, and in 2016 we were treated to some of the best. Here are out picks from this year’s best football ads.
4. Suarez becomes one man’s life coach
This one is a strange ad, as it was for Pepsi (we don’t see the connection), but it was entertaining anyways. The Uruguayan ace becomes the life coach for who we believe is a stay-at-home game addict. With the help of the Barca ace, he gets a makeover, learns how to get numbers, and tries to become better at football.
There was even a sly dig at Coca Cola. Watch and enjoy.
3. Cristiano switches life with a young kid
OK, this is not a new concept. We’ve seen so many movies where two people freakishly switch bodies, but throw Cristiano Ronaldo into the mix and it becomes interesting. Imagine being a little kid thrown into the Real Madrid’s famous life, and vice versa.
2. Cristiano is Home Alone
Mix one of the best footballer players ever with one of the best Christmas movies of all time, and you get an amazing ad. The four-time Ballon d’Or winner reenacted some of Macaulay Culkin’s most famous scenes, including the shaving incident.
1. Griezmann: an amazing player, an even better wingman
We all know that Griezmann is an excellent player, but did you know that his real talents show when he’s a wingman? The Frenchman leaves a match to go help out a few people on dates, all using his iconic celebration and a few extravagant props.
