Team News

PSG

Last season saw PSG cruise comfortably to their fourth straight Ligue 1 title, but Les Parisiens again failed to make the grade in the Champions League. Former Sevilla boss Unai Emery was brought in as the ambitious club hope to finally make an impact in continental competition. And having guided Los Rojiblancos to three straight Europa League titles, expectations are high that the Spanish tactician will be able to help finally help them join the continent's elite.

So far this term, things have not been as smooth sailing as PSG fans would have expected. They will be coming into this match having failed to win their last two games. A 3-1 loss to Monaco was followed by a one-all draw with Saint-Etienne, leaving the reigning champions in seventh place with seven points from four games. Les Parisiens also have some major injury concerns ahead of this game. Captain Thiago Silva is still in doubt due to a hip problem, and will have to pass a late fitness test. Other likely absentees will include Javier Pastore, Maxwell, Serge Aurier, and Layvin Kurzawa.

Arsenal

Arsenal started this season off poorly - with a 4-3 loss to Liverpool and a 0-0 stalemate against Leicester City - but two back-to-back wins have Arsene Wenger's men feeling confident ahead of this fixture. The Gunners have long struggled to overcome their own Champions League hurdle and will be desperate to finally get beyond the round of 16 this term.

In order to do that, however, Arsenal must actually do well in their group to avoid a dreaded draw with the likes of Bayern Munich or Barcelona. Naturally, they will be looking to pick up all three points in this fixture as PSG arguably are by far their toughest opponents in their quartet, but like Les Parisiens, they will also be without the services of some key players.

Per Mertesacker, Gabriel, and Danny Welbeck are all definitely out, but Aaron Ramsey has reportedly returned to training, whilst Laurent Koscielny has recovered from a nasty eye injury and should be fit to feature in tomorrow evening's tie.
