The Sun claims that the burglar was caught by security staff who were monitoring his movements, and handed over to the police. The burglar reportedly tried to gain access into the London mansion through the basement but a maid noticed him and raised alarm, prompting to the security officers to intervene. The tabloid quotes a passerby who witnessed the whole incident and took a picture. He said:
“Jose looked dumbfounded. I don’t think it had registered with the guy he was trying to burgle the house of the world’s most famous football coach.”
The suspect, identified as Gabor Roman, was jailed for four weeks on Tuesday after pleading guilty to the offense. In the photos, the former Real Madrid tactician looked terrified as he stared through the window with his wife Matilde Farie.
