Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is set to leave the Gunners.

Thierry Henry has left the Gunners after a fallout with club manager Arsene Wenger. The BBC reports that the legendary footballer has made the decision to leave the club after rejecting the chance to coach the under-18 side.

Arsene Wenger had offered the 38-year-old the job to manage the club’s youthful side under the condition that he quits his punditry job at Sky Sports. However, Henry is said to have chosen to retain his job, which allegedly gives him a salary of 4 million pounds a year.

The Frenchman worked with the Arsenal youth side as part of his UEFA A Licence course but is now focused on his career as a pundit.

Wenger is said to be infuriated by the fact that Henry criticizes Arsenal live on air in his shows at Sky Sports, while at the same time working for the club as a manager of the youth side. He was therefore given the option to choose Arsenal, or leave to concentrate on his career as a pundit.

Henry has been a stern critic of the North London club and its current crop of players, most notably Olivier Giroud. Earlier last season during one of his punditry shows with Sky, he was quoted saying that the Gunners were not in a position to win the league with the likes of Giroud as the club’s striker.
