Midfielder Daniele De Rossi will have to watch the game from the sidelines after limping off the pitch against Spain in their Round of 16 matchup.

The clash between Germany and Italy will surely be one of the most viewed in the ongoing UEFA Euro 2016, and coach Antonio Conte will have to show the world his skills by finding a suitable replacement for one of his most important players.

Midfielder Daniele De Rossi has been ruled out of the match against Die Mannschaft due to a thigh injury he picked up on Monday while facing Spain. The 32-year old was subbed by Thiago Motta, who won't be able to take his place in the lineup after being booked for the second time in the tournament against La Furia Roja.

Italy will also have to wait to know if Antonio Candreva is fit to play, after being unavailable for the most recent games.

Conte may have to use a different formation to play against Die Manschaft.

Even if De Rossi recovered in time to face the Germans, coach Antonio Conte hinted that he would find a suitable option in that spot.

"I want my players to be 100 per cent fit though, because we need to be 120, 130 per cent fit against Germany. So I'll evaluate things these days and find other solutions. We'll try to find an alternative to the possibility of being without De Rossi," Conte added.
