Chelsea and Arsenal are both on the brink of securing qualification into the Last 16 in the Champions League. The Blues and the Gunners defend a 100% record as they prepare to play on Wednesday night.
Coincidentally, the situation in Group F and in Group H is the same in terms points statistics. In Group F, Chelsea top the table with 9 points ahead of their match against second-placed Spartak Moskva who have 6 points at the moment.

Likewise, Arsenal also lead their table while Shakhtar Donetsk come second in the group with 6 points as both teams will clash in Ukraine tonight. A point will do for Chelsea and Arsenal to qualify for the Round of 16, but the Gunners’ coach – Arsene Wenger – has asked his team not to be complacent following their wonderful run in Europe and in the English Premier League recently.

“I’ll remind the players that Shakhtar are a strong side that we perhaps caught on a good day for us at the Emirates,” the Frenchman told the media as he referred to Arsenal’s heavy victory over the Ukrainians a fortnight ago.

“They might have been hurt by what happened, and at home, they’ll be a completely different team. If you let them get into the flow, they can cause you problems. We’ll make sure that we are well aware of that.”

Arsenal have scored 14 goals in 3 Champions League matches this season. How will Shakhtar Donetsk contained them this time round? Expect the Gunners and Carlo Ancelotti’s Chelsea to carry the day while we would have to call anything else an upset.
