Argentina will face Jurgen Klinsmann's crew on Tuesday with hopes to reach their third consecutive final. Messi has his eyes set on another final with the hunger to bag his first ever silverware with El Albiceleste.

After Tata Martino's men struggled in their last two finals, losing to Germany at the 2014 World Cup and later to Chile at last summer's Copa America, Argentina will want to bring the trophy home after back-to-back heartbreaks.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, 'La Pulga' believes the United States will be a tough challenge for his side.

"The United States try to get close to you, to attack, they're a very difficult team. We have to do what we have been doing up until now. We are growing and that's the way we have to carry on.

"We don't give them the importance that we should because we didn't win, but it's not easy to reach two consecutive finals.

"What this team did has a lot of merit, although we all want to win. Now I hope we can reach a third final."

Argentina is on the brink of a stunning record of competing in three finals in a row. Despite this, the five-time Ballon D'Or winner has been through major upsets with his national side. This time around, they will want to go all the way and obtain Copa America glory.

The 2014 World Cup final against the Germans was a night to forget after Mario Gotze scored in the 113th minute. The 28-year-old FC Barcelona forward was not able to net any goals, which left his team miserable with the night ending in a 1-0 loss to Argentina.

A year later, Argentina thrashed opponents in their 2015 Copa America campaign, as they cruised to the finals. However, they were held to a goalless draw against a strong Chile, which led to a nerve-racking penalty shoot-out. Martino's side did not have luck on their side, as Messi was the only one to score from the spot. This resulted in Chile stealing the title with a 4-1 penalty win.Messi-Argentina

Will they be third-time lucky and secure the trophy this summer?
