Cholo spoke to the press ahead of Saturday’s clash with Zidane’s boys at San Siro.

The stage is set for the 2016 UEFA Champions League final, as only one day remains before Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid battle it out in Milan for Europe’s most coveted club football trophy.

Los Blancos are in search of an unprecedented 11th title; Los Rojiblancos look to win the competition for the first time and inflict revenge for the 4-1 defeat in the 2014 final to Cristiano and Co., as this is the last and only chance for both teams to get their hands on silverware.

Speaking ahead of the all-important weekend clash, Diego Simeone sat in front of the press, opening up about the importance of the San Siro clash, insisting "Only winning would make us happy. Only that."

"To play a final is absolutely fantastic; to win it is even better," Simeone said, as per Marca.

"That experience makes you want to continue those moments.

"It's not easy because you have to pick yourself up, keep inventing yourself, change the players but not change the commitment, the values, the work.

"If you keep working, you're insistent, you can achieve things."

Cholo, who was present when the Vicente Calderon side were beaten by Les Merengues, identified the one man who he thinks will be crucial to Real Madrid’s chances of winning the Champions League. Surprisingly, the Argentine tactician did not name the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, or Gareth Bale.

Instead, the Atletico boss underlined the importance of Casemiro to  Zidane’s squad, hailing the French legend for his decision to hand the Brazilian midfielder a role in Real Madrid’s midfield.

"It's amazing the work Zidane's done; he's taken the decision to rely on Casemiro, which has changed the team," added the Argentine.

"He didn't allow the past of the club to affect him, and that's making him an important coach.

"For the balance of the side, Casemiro is their most important player, certainly."
