The game between the two Spanish giants will have Mark Clattenburg as the top officer. UEFA's decision was met with mixed reactions.

41-year-old referee Mark Clattenburg was unveiled today as the man in charge of refereeing the UEFA Champions League between Real Madrid & Atlético Madrid. The English officer has been in charge of six matches in the continental competition, including two involving Los Colchoneros and one more for Los Blancos.

May will be a good month for Clattenburg, as the ref has also been appointed as the main officer for the FA Cup final between Crystal Palace and Manchester United, which will be taking place one week before the all-Spanish tie between Madrid's bitter rivals.

While some fans and experts feel the ref is the right choice to officiate the game, others disagreed with UEFA's decision. Here are some of their comments.
