The Algerian was a no-show in the official pics of the Foxes' new home kit, but is rumored to be committed to the league champs.

English Premier League champions Leicester City recently revealed their home kit for the upcoming 2016/17, as top-scorer Jamie Vardy, rock-solid goalie Kasper Schmeichel, and captain Wes Morgan featured center stage in the pictures, alongside Japanese star Shinji Okazaki.

However, there were two key absentees in the form of N'Golo Kanté and Riyad Mahrez, with the PFA Player of the Year winner being linked with a King Power Stadium exit, as his omission comes as a huge surprise given his importance to the squad and the Algerian’s newly-found appeal.

The new kit will be worn for next season in which they’ll strive to defend their remarkable title, after collaborating with Puma once more to produce a stylish jersey. The gold Premier League embellishment reserved for the title winners will be at display on the Foxes’ new kit for the first time in their history, as a collar will be introduced into their new look for the new season.

With Mahrez being linked with several of England’s other giants, the midfield magician’s absence from the new home kit pictures may not be a sign that he’ll leave, given that Robin Van Persie wore Arsenal’s new jersey shortly before leaving the club for Man United back in 2012.

Furthermore, British publication The Express claim that the player has decided on remaining at the King Power Stadium, reporting on Friday that he has already informed Leicester of his desire to stay and help them defend their league crown next season.

This report comes after the club vice-chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha came out to crush rumors that Mahrez is seeking a move to a bigger club, saying (as per Sky Sports):

"They are good boys. They are good lads. They understand. Even Mahrez, I talked to him and said, 'Are you concerned?'. He said, 'No, no, I want to stay'. This is what he wants. He wants to stay."
