Following their last-minute win against Borussia Dortmund, the Reds get ready to battle Bournemouth with another win in their minds.

Bournemouth and Liverpool will try to give fans their money's worth when they face each other at Vitality Stadium on Sunday. The Cherries, who seem to be far away from the relegation zone, aim for a historical top ten finish in the English top flight, while Liverpool will try to bring back some of the boost generated by their last-gasp win against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Europa League.

Looking back at their recent form in the domestic tournament, both sides have been able to win four out of their last six matches, but the hosts have lost one more game than the Reds in that time frame. All in all, this game seems to have all it needs to be an interesting option to watch on Sunday.

Eddie Howe's crew have shocked the English top flight with their playing style, which has them fighting to finish off the season among the top ten teams in the tournament. For this game, the Cherries will not have striker Benik Afobe around due to a hamstring injury, and the prospect of having Harry Arter around before the season ends is rather doubtful.

The good news for Howe's team have to do with the return of Junior Stanislas, who could feature up front after recovering from a hamstring injury.

After Thursday's win against Dortmund, Liverpool seems to have a much needed boost to finish off the season in style, with Jurgen Klopp earning praises from fellow coaches around the world.

Last week's EPL win against Stoke proved to be quite useful for the Reds, given that they got a bit closer to European competition spots. A series of wins could bolster them up to a top six finish, but in order to do that, they must take all the points home on Sunday.

For this game, Klopp will have to make do without five players, which include forward Christian Benteke, midfielder Jordan Henderson and Emre Can. The first two footballers will sit this game out due to injury, while Can will conclude his two-match ban against the Cherries.

Head to head

These teams have played four games against each other in all tournaments, but only one EPL match. Liverpool has won each and every one of those meetings, scoring seven goals and allowing only one. Their EPL clash ended with a 1-0 win for the Reds, thanks to a goal by Nathaniel Clyne.
