Cristiano Ronaldo may not be as expensive as many fans or club would imagine.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s market value has fallen by 10 million Euros, according to Spanish publication AS.

AS cites data published on Transfermarkt claiming that the Portuguese star has lost his market value due to his recent string of poor performances against ''big teams’’ as opposed to small ones. Los Blancos most recently lost to their city rivals Atletico Madrid in a match that shattered their dreams of winning La Liga title this season.

According to the statistics provided by the Spanish website, the former Man United man has 0.85 goals to game ratio this season and has managed 2.58 shots per game. His recent rants, which include the allegations that he criticised his teammates for not being up to his level after the disappointing loss to Diego Simeone’s men, has reportedly made him less popular among the fans of the Spanish giants.

Earlier this season, the 31-year-old kicked off his campaign on a slow note and was the subject of criticism by a section of fans who had witnessed his true potential when he was in fine form. Despite attracting interest from various European giants such as Paris Saint-Germain, Ronaldo may not be as expensive as many people would expect him to be. But will he manage to regain his market value or will it sink even further? One thing is clear; many fans of the 3-time Ballon d’Or winner will be hoping for the best.
