Cristiano Ronaldo has finally opened up about his future at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The uncertainty surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Real Madrid seems settled, if his most recent interview with Mahou is anything to go by. The Portuguese star has been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu for the better part of this season, but has insisted that he does not have any desire to leave. Earlier this season, the 31-year-old was rumoured to be on his way to join French giants Paris Saint-Germain or his former club Manchester United.

He has also faced a lot of criticism due to a slow start to the season and dismal performance against ‘big’ teams. Recently, he was criticised for failing to score away from the Santiago Bernabeu in crucial matches, but silenced his critics moments later by scoring a wonderful goal during Los Blanco’s last 16 first leg tie with AS Roma in Italy.

During the interview, he explained:

"Real Madrid is a club with a lot of pressure from both inside and outside, but I have been here for many years and I am used to it.

"The grandeur of the club means that people look at us differently to others. However, on a personal level things are positive, I am very happy and I want to be at this club.

"I feel the support of the fans. When the people sing my name, I'm proud.

"To be the best in Europe is the biggest dream and we did it two years ago. It was a unique moment for us and for the fans, but there have been other important ones.

"I could not be more proud of the time I've spent with Real Madrid."

Zinedine Zidane’s men face their rivals Atletico Madrid in the Madrid derby on Saturday and the former Man United man believes they must do all they can to win the epic encounter in order to bridge the gap between them and league leaders FC Barcelona.

He added;

"It's an important game at home, with our fans. They defend very well but we have to win. Although La Liga is difficult, we're going to fight until the end.''
