The Argentinean wingman labeled his stint in the EPL as a 'bad experience' ahead of the continental clash against Chelsea in the UCL's Round of 16.

Paris Saint-Germain's Angel Di Maria wants to repeat his late Real Madrid achievements this season. The former Man United man shared his views about the team's chances of going all the way in the UEFA Champions League, even if they have to defeat Chelsea.

In an interview with L'Equipe, Di Maria recalled how he struggled to win La Décima with Real Madrid, and even used his memories as motivation for his current team-mates.

"I think we have everything to go to the final. With Real Madrid, we were so close to the final several times, but every time we were knocked out. And the time we made it to the final we almost lost but managed to win after all," Di María remembered.

"But I know that the two matches to come against Chelsea will determine a lot of things. Everyone sees us as the favourites. We don't see it that way. It's Chelsea. That's what I keep saying to the lads here since I arrived: you can have the best team in the world, you also need a bit of luck," he added.

"Manchester was a bad experience"- Angel Di María

The Argentinean, labeled as one of last season's flops with Manchester United, shared a few words about his former club. Di María still can't figure out what went wrong while playing for the Red Devils after joining Real Madrid, in what once was one of the most expensive transfers in EPL history.

"Manchester was a sad experience. Things did not go the way I expected, I was disappointed and I could not surface. Honestly, I don't remember what happened and I don't want to remember," the player told L'Equipe.

Di Maria signed with the Red Devils on Deadline Day, missing a number of games due to injury. Later that season, he admitted being disoriented after a burglar broke into his home while his wife and mother-in-law were in his house.
