The Arsenal boss says his boys should expect a fight from the Spaniard when the London giants meet on Sunday.

Despite boasting a 19-point lead over their London rivals, Arsenal must be wary of Chelsea ahead of their Sunday’s clash, and the threat the Blues may pose to the Gunners’ title hopes.

This was something French boss Arsene Wenger lamented during a pre-match press conference; however, Le Prof singled out one player whom his side should watch out for: the fiesty Diego Costa.

The north London giants will host the reigning champions at the Emirates Stadium this weekend, as they seek revenge for the 2-0 defeat in their previous encounter this season.

That tie was controversial due to Chelsea’s Spanish striker, having been involved in a heated clash with Arsenal’s Gabriel Paulista, one which led to the Brazilian center-back’s sending off.

According to the long-serving manager, his boys can expect a fight from the former Atletico Madrid forward, but stressed that the Arsenal players should solely focus on their own game.

"We have to be prepared for a battle because Costa gives you a fight. After that, it's down to the referee,” said the 66-year-old.

"We have to focus on our performance. It's another game where people look at us and see how we behave.

"It will be an intense game, as usual in the Premier League. Overall, I think because of the qualities of the players on the pitch and what is at stake for both teams, it will be a very intense battle."

Arsenal, who lead the standing on goal difference ahead of Leicester, will be hoping to return to winning ways in Sunday's highly-anticipated game, having drawn their last two fixtures.

Their odds of winning will be boasted, however, with the return of Mesut Ozil, whilst Chilean ace Alexis Sanchez is in contention to make his return from injury against the Blues.
