A huge weight has been lifted from Guus Hiddink's chest, as striker Diego Costa returned to the team's training facility only with a bruised tibia. The Spanish player limped off the pitch during the Blues' last game against Everton, which saw the former Atletico Madrid striker score his fifth goal in four games under Guus Hiddink.
Costa went through a number of tests moments after leaving Stamford Bridge, as scans on his leg showed a massive bruise on his tibia, but no evidence of a broken bone was found, so the striker will be able to play against Arsenal next Sunday.
Costa scored one goal and dished out an assist during Chelsea's 3-3 thriller against Everton.
The Brazilian-born striker has recovered his goal scoring form, as he has been key to the Blues' resurgence in the Premier League, and his absence could have dealt a big blow to Chelsea's hopes of reaching European football spots for next season.
