La Liga giants Real Madrid scored five superb first-half goals against Sporting Gijon to drive them into full control of the match by half time. Both Benzema, Bale and Cristiano, who make up the famous BBC attacking trio, were on target for Los Blancos at the Santiago Bernabeu. Ronaldo and Benzema scored a brace, while Bale scored one to bring the total tally to five before the break. The visitors got a consolation goal in the second half through Isma Lopez but it was too late to overturn the results. The match ended 5-1 in favor of the hosts.
