Real Madrid star forward Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he could join an MLS club in the future.

The Portugal forward joined the Spanish giants from Premier League side Manchester United and has a contract that runs up to June 2018.

In the recent past, the 2015 Ballon d’Or nominee has been linked with moves to France to join Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain who are seriously looking for Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s replacement. Several reports from England have also linked him with a move back to his former club, Man United.

However, despite all the rumours suggesting a possible exit from the Santiago Bernabeu for the 30-year-old, his agent Jorge Mendez has dismissed the reports countless times. He has insisted that the former Sporting Lisbon man will retire at the Spanish giants, but judging from the latest statement made by the three-time Ballon d’Or winner, it seems the two are not reading from the same script.

During the interview with GQ, Ronaldo revealed:

"Maybe in the future there will be a good chance for me to play in America," the 30-year-old told GQ.

"You never know, but it’s something interesting. I consider it, of course, because as I’ve said, soccer there has become better and better.

"I think that this is maybe going to be possible."

He was speaking after a photo shoot session with the magazine, which he appeared on the cover page alongside model Alessandra Ambrosio.
